# Authentication

> Send your API key with every request.

The base URL is `https://api.bespokelabs.ai`.

Create a key in the [Bespoke Labs console](https://console.bespokelabs.ai/home/keys). Send it in the `Authorization` header.

```bash theme={null}
Authorization: Bearer $BESPOKE_API_KEY
```

A request without a valid key gets `401`.

Keep your key secret. Do not put it in client code or commit it to a repository.
